Bathroom decor always takes last place on my to-do list. I always struggle with decorating the bathroom, and I feel like you have to be careful with bath decor as it can quickly take on a cheesy or cluttered look. I do not do clutter.
Maybe it’s the room itself. The bathroom serves a purpose and is functional. Much like the kitchen, which I also struggle with making look pretty…ugh. So what happens? I struggle and stress… Finally I just put it off. Then guess what? The magical three words: Company. is. Coming. Oh boy, nothing kicks me into high gear decorating as much as those three words. Does it happen to you too?
So, I knew that the bathroom needed to rise in its to-do list position.
In my research of beautiful bathrooms I found this gem.
Aren’t the curves just gorgeous? Not only the design, but something I really came to love about the W2 Collection is that all W2 by WETSTYLE bathtubs and washbasins are made of WETMAR BiO. An industry first, WETMAR BiO is an eco-friendly thermo-insulating material made primarily from a mix of Mother Earth’s natural ingredients – soy and mineral stone. How awesome is that?
If I was given the option to remodel, and not just redecorate, that tub is where I would start.
Here are some ideas that I was able to put into place right away. Functional, yet beautiful bathroom decor ideas.
Bathroom Decor Ideas
1. Updated Accessory Holders
We have a double sink vanity, which I love. However, after many years of sharing a counter space it is easier to consolidate a few things rather than having a “his” and “hers”. One thing we keep centered between the sinks is the foaming hand soap.
I had some old candle jars and I gave them a thorough cleaning.
I then taped them up and gave them a quick spray paint of gold to pep them up and add some high end decor flair.
My current bathroom is a world of gold fixtures, and for now I must embrace this not-so-favorite color of mine and play upon what I got. I did the same makeover for a previously pink wastebasket that I had on hand. I simply gave it a gold makeover and it looks very nice.
2. Vertical Real Estate
Speaking of counter tops. I really struggle with all that stuff being stacked around the sink. So I looked up for help and sure enough, I found the solution. 😉 I bought these racks at a local store pretty cheap. They were in a basic oak color and I gave them a quick paint with some white to better fit the look of my bathroom.
3. More Space, Please.
I use two towels coming out of the shower, my hubs uses his one towel. We only have two towel holders. This is a problem. I needed more towel space.
Using a scrap piece of 3 foot 2×6 I had on hand, I gave it a stain. I then picked up the white knobs at a local craft store. I simply screwed the knobs into the wood and Voila! More towel space, that is pretty and functional.
4. Throne Worthy Shelf
I don’t think this needs a lot of explanation. I’m pretty sure at some point most everyone has craned their head around wondering where the safe zone is to set down their phone…
Again, I picked up the shelf at a local craft store, and added the gold touch that I needed. I then mounted our existing bath tissue holder to the bottom of the shelf.
All of these projects can be completed in a few hours in one day.
So, while I wait for my bathroom upgrade when I can get that beautiful Wave soaking tub by W2 WETSTYLE. By the way, they have another gorgeous bathtub called the Cloud. You should check it out and the other great options they have, go ahead and find a dealer.
I will continue on with the functional home decor I can achieve right now, today.
