Cake bunting is the simplest way to fancy up any cake with little effort.
However, when my youngest son developed food allergies bakeries became a no-go zone. I had to start making our birthday cakes and to be honest it has become a tradition that I really enjoy.
Whether you buy a cake from a bakery, or you bake one in your own oven, this cake bunting is an awesome simple topper that adds some fancy flare.
Print the bunting of your choice from below.
Cut out and crease in the middle.
Using twine slide it in the open mouths of each bunting.
Take a glue stick and bond the two sides together. (I tried to glue only from halfway down, that way I could move each letter on the twine, if needed.)
Using skewers or paper straws tie the end of your twine to each “pole”.
I classed up my skewers by adding washi tape.
Add to your cake and WooHoo! you have a fancy -shmancy cake topper.
I couldn’t resist I made up a cute mini bunting to go in my office for some motivation.

I made these on a white background as it saves on ink. I find it is easier to print on colored paper. Below are four different font type “Happy Birthday” bunting templates. I also created a blank template where you could write in your own.
