I had seen a few different versions of this DIY decor item on Pinterest, but i had to make it my own. The frames are actually from the dollar store. I had them on hand for another project, but they fit so well with my holiday decor I went with it.
- 3 frames of the same look and size
- wooden letters
- mod podge
- scrapbook paper
- small grapevine wreath (.50 at local craft store)
- hot glue gun
Begin with the wooden letters. Trace the letters onto scrapbook paper, then cut the letters out. Using mod podge adhere them to the wooden letters.
Remove the glass and backing from each frame. Measure the ribbon backing piece to start at the top of the ‘J’ frame and allow for an inch between the frames. Using a hot glue gun, glue the ribbon backer to the top and bottom of each frame. Hot glue the wooden letters and wreath to the ribbon in the middle of each frame. Using hot glue, add a hanging ribbon to the top ‘J’ frame.
Ta Da! There it is.
♥ You can keep your holiday decor and store for next season. Or if you would like to use your frames, hold onto the glass and backings. You can easily remove the hot glued ribbon from the back of each frame and reuse them. You know for actually putting pictures in, or something. 🙂
