5 Minute Sweet & Salty Lucky Bites

5 Minute Sweet & Salty Lucky Bites. www.homespunengineer.com

Looking for a quick St.Patrick’s Day treat? Here it is. From start to finish these delicious little bites take about 5 minutes.

Quick to make and great with a cup of coffee for an afternoon sweet spot. These bites will have you feeling lucky for St. Patrick’s Day.

Sweet & Salty Lucky Bites

  • 1 bag of waffle pretzels
  • 1 bag of colored candy wafer melts
  • Lucky Charms cereal (You need only the marshmallows bits)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lay out your pretzels on a parchment lined baking sheet. Take a candy melt and place it on top of the pretzel.

Place the baking sheet in the oven for about 2 minutes. Stand by and keep watch! You want the candy wafer to slightly melt and soften. (You’ll notice it become shiny, that is when to pull it out).

Immediately after pulling out the baking sheet begin placing and slightly pushing in a Lucky Charm mallow on top of the candy wafer.

Place the baking sheet back in the oven for 2 more minutes. Again, keep watch! You will notice the mallows puff up and become soft.

Remove them from the oven and allow to cool at least a minute or two before you can’t resist popping one in your mouth. 😉

Allow to cool longer and harden up a bit before placing in an air tight container for giving to good little sprites. Enjoy!
